Hi, I LOVE hot banana peppers (they come in jars either in slices, chunks or whole). I like to eat them with whole grain bread or on eggs, but that is getting boring. Does anyone have any ideas of what to put them on? (PS: they do not taste good warm/cooked)
We like the milder banana peppers, but here are some of the ways we eat them:
As a pizza topping (yes, it does get warm/cooked, but it might be worth a try. Hubby never even liked pepppers until he tried these on pizza.)
And I like them as a side with sandwiches. I don't put them on the sandwich, I kind of take a bite of sandwich, and a bite of pepper.
The sandwiches (or subs) they go especially well with, in my opinion, include turkey, tuna, and meatball.
And speaking of meatball, the flavor of the peppers will go nicely with spaghetti & sauce. Not necessarily cooked in it (though you could do that too), but just as a side or a topping.
They can go well with fried or flavored rice, too... Or with Chinese food such as a lo-mein dish.
They can go well with mexican foods such as tacos, burritos, nachos, etc.
