How about putting the sides up and straightening the rest? Or even curling the rest? So it looks like this: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

This style isn't super formal, and you can add like a headband, or a clip to dress it up or even to dress it down ;]

bat and bar mitzvah's aren't that formal... only for the person being bar/bat mitzvah'd. so don't worry about how you look, you dont want to look nicer than the person being bat mitzvah'd. wear it down and straight, or even in the hairstyle where you pull your front hairs/bangs up and clip them down, so it looks like a poof. like this: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
