i like who my friends like
im 13/f
say i have a guy friend in my class and we are just friends. if my friend starts to like him.. i start to like him too. i dont know if its because im jealous and i want him to like me over her or if i just really do like him. does this ever happen to you? and why do you think this happens?

hey, well i dont think you have anything to worry about...this has also happend to me i think that the problem is that you want him to choose you over her.....well to tell you the truth i think this causes friendship breakups....but my advise to you is to let your friend know wats going on between this n maybe she will understand.

this happens to me all the time. i think it might be a bit of jealousy but i think everyone likes the attention. when you are friends with a guy and then your friend starts to like him, you may feel a little threatined like if they go out or something then you and your guy friend wnt have the same relationship anymore. you probably also have some feelings for him deep down or you wouldnt care so much. dnt worry. there are SO many kids your age that have this problem. just stay cool and act yourself.

i cant even tell you how many times ive been through this, its happening to me right now. i think this happens because, sometimes we may not even really like a person, but want them to like us. its hard because you want the guy to yourself, but you dnt want to hurt your friend. i know for a fact ts is not jealousy, its simply wanting to b noticed and liked my everyone. its weird having somone like your friend and not you, but then you have to ask yourself if the guy is worth loosing a friendship over or if hes right for you. just be honest with yourself and talk things out with your friend. much love,

Yeah this happened to me too. I was talking to this one guy, kinda liked him but we were just friends. When one of my friends started liking him I REALLY started liking him. I think part of this is jealousy, because I got kind of mad that she was out to get attention from this guy who had been giving me attention, even if it was just as friends.

yeah this has happened to me before ..its prob because your frends might influence you .or also because you wanna fit in with them.... or they might juss point them out and you prob never realized it till someone sed something though ..there are many diff. reasons depending on your situation
if they do influene you, then as you get older you will start to notice boys for urself and then you might be pointing them out to your frends
try to start focusing more on what you want or just point the guy out first ;]

because your friends point out the good things in him for you, which makes you attracted to him.
