i try not to wear make up anymore. but is doesn't matter if you switch products or anything. it just depends on what is in the product you are using. you want to stay away from make up that has any oil in it. it will deff. mess up your face & cause blemishes. and about clearing your face. i have used proactiv and it worked, but now i just use safeguard soap in the shower [morning] & at night before bed.. i use mary-kay eyeliner because my mom is a mary-kay consultant and sells it. haha. =)

As far as makeup goes, it doesn't really matter if you experiment with different brands. I use L'Oreal mascara, revlon eyeliner, and MAC eyeshadow, for example.. OH...Revlon Wet/Dry eyeliner is the best! And it's pretty cheap...with makeup, it's all about finding out what you like best and sticking with it.
Skincare is a different story. It is better to stick to a routine. Keep it simple.. and try sticking to your favorite product.
I usually wash my face (morning/night), tone and moisturize. I always use the same products that work best for my skin. I would recommend (depending on your skin type) avoiding products with harsh ingredients. And also, try not to overcleanse, or exfoliate too much.. as it can irritate or dry out your skin, which can actually lead to more frequent breakouts.
keeping it simple is the key with face care.
for budget brand, I love Cetaphil cleanser. lately I've been using my mom's neostrata cleanser, though it's pretty expensive and has to be ordered.

well switching up face washes will probaly irritate your skin. if you want to try new ones i woul probablyuse one kind for a month and then gradually start using the other brand. as for good eyeliner Unstoppable by mabelline new york is great! its smudge and water proof the unstoppable mascara works great too!

hope i helped :)
