im 14 and ive never really been secure with myself. i feel like i never look good and that im overweight. theres this guy in my school that i really like but somehow i dont think that he would ever date me because of the way i look and we dont really talk because im too scared he'll think "what the hell is she doing". how can i lose weight and then like.. get courage to talk to him?

Loosing weight is very hard but trust me you feel so much more confident about yourself when you even loose a few pounds. The trick to loosing weight is so stop eating junk food and excersize daily. Pills, drinks, and all those other diet programs are just expensive and sometimes don`t work. I am on a diet now and have been sucessful in the past 3 months. What I did was start up an excersize plan. Walking about 30-60 minutes a day even more, it makes your body feel better and yourself. For food wise, stay away from any fast food resturants, and junk food. I know food crazings are hard to overcome but when you do get some try eating healthier food like cucumbers, salads, apples, bananas, and other stuff or Drink LOTS of water cause it will fill your stomach up & It helps keep your body hydrated and cleans it out. As for another drink you can drink is DIET green tea believe it or not it really cleans out your body and intestines ;). If you seem to be having difficulty staying on the diet, you can go the doctor. I know they can help you. As for trying to build your confidence, you can try wearing makeup, get a new haircut, buy a new outfit. As for talking to the guy you like, if you still don`t feel comfortable enough then wait. A quote I like too use "if a guy doesn`t like you at your worst then he doesn`t deserve you at your best." If he doesn`t like you then move on and wait for a guy to come to you. :) If you need some more advice just leave a message in my inbox! Good luck. &hearts;
