i have a cingular motorolla razr phone and under the sound section, there is something called new iMelody and you can type these notes to make a song or whatever.. how can i make a ringtone out of this? like i dont understand the numbers and wht i should do..?

That is so odd because I have the same V3 and I have something else called the MotoMixer which seems totally different from what you're describing.
I used to have another motorolla phone and I used to punch in different notes to make a ringtone but I had to experiment to figure out which notes sounded best and how to put them together but it didn't sound so great so I gave up trying.
I did a little research for you though and a lot of reviews of the V3 with the iMelody in it say that it's practically useless and that you can't make real beats out of it anyway.
But the following website has a few rings that you can copy the notes from and punch them in your cell:
