Most doctors advise that it is not until a period of two years has passed without conceiving that you should start worrying about the possibility you may be having problems. If you were on the Pill, you also need to remember it takes some time to completely get out of your system and get your body kicking itself back into gear.
As for tips on increasing your chances - a major one is relieving stress and learning to relax. Stress plays a massive part in preventing conception so try doing some gentle exercise, making sure you have a blanced, healthy diet and maybe try getting your husband to give you a sensual massage before you make love, to increase your chance of conceiving.
Also try making love every other day. A lot of couples who are trying make love every night to try to increase their chances but a lot of scientists believe you stand a better chance if you limit it to every other day.
Give it at least a year. If you still have not conceived, try speaking to a doctor about it and they can run tests to make sure there are no problems. For now, try not to become so enveloped with the idea of conceiving that you fall into the trap of forgetting to enjoy sex! [ Vikki27's advice column | Ask Vikki27 A Question ]
