my husband and i are wanting to get pregnat but I am On birth control, i have a IUS Intrauterine System. and i need to know if the prcedure to get it removed is the same as getting it inserted? and also if i were to get pregnat while i still have this would it harm the baby and if so how long would it take for it to affect it baby?

I do know that they will usually cause a miscarriage
should you get pregnant while you have one in. I also think that it is a very rare occurrence because they are a good form of birth control.

The procedure for removal is very much like having it put in. All done in the doctors office. Doesn't take long at all.

Again, chances of getting pregnant while you still have it in place are very rare.
