So theres this boy..
that I have a crush on! Jeez, I've had crushes on guys since those kindergarten days.. anyway, I'm 13 and in 7th grade, and I want to know ways to get this guy I like to like me back. I didnt even know him to this year, and he's in like.. alot of my classes too. On the first day of school, right when I saw him, I was like instantly attracted to him, even though I said in the summer that I wouldnt fall for any more guys anymore, and would focus on my schoolwork, friends and such. Im not sure about going out with him or anything.. like he even has the feelings back for me, which I dont know yet. I tend to be kind of shy unless I just happen to be comfortable around you and then I open up, so I dont want him to just think "oh shes just that shy girl". but he hasnt been been to me so far, but i want to know a way to like.. discreetly (no way am i flirting like really openly! how embarassing!! well it depends..) flirt with him or whatever to get his attention.. but like subtle. lol what do guys like in a girl and stuff? hes pretty sporty.. and um.. nice too, lol. also kinda cocky and outgoing personality.. (but not in an annoying way.. he doesnt really call out and stuff.) so yeah. any helpful advice gets a 5!!!! thanksssss! <3

Maybe you could try talking to his and your mutual friends. When you get a bit comfortable with them, you can approach them when they're talking with him and join the conversation, too.
That's what I did. The difference is that I've never been classmates with the guy, so it's much harder. I talked with his friends and when they were together, I'd go near them and start joining it. Through that, the guy and I sorta talked. Now, I'm not shy to approach him and I can even joke with him. He's a hard lot coz he's a barriered person.
All it needs with anyone, though, is time. You have to be patient, but if you keep at it, you'll get to talk with him and maybe become closer with him.
