I got a really good revlon at sallys for only $25 and i usually get the thin ceramic ones they work the best.
Never ever use metal.
Always use ceramic straighteners.
Go to sallys and im sure you'll find a nice cheap one that works good.
If theres one that just has on and off switch
get the ones with the heat adjusted so you can put it up really high and it gets all hot real fast so it works better.

missadvicebitch1 answered Friday November 10 2006, 8:27 pm: i had one of those and i didnt like it at all. it took forever to straighten my hair and my hair is just to my shoulders. this sounds crazy but you dont need to buy a pricey straightener to make it weork good. a straightener around 80$ works fine but i woudlnt spend anything more. i got mine at bed bath and beyond. it works great.
