how do you put a link on your myspace page?
like i want a l8ink to my friends site and i want the text of the link to say, 'Tim'

You can use a program as simple as AIM. Just go into a chat window, and click the heart that says insert a hyperlink (it's next to smileys). Then choose the URL (website address) and the name (that's what people will see when they look at the link, like 'Tim'. Then just copy paste what's in the chat box into your myspace.

first thing you need is the web address of your friends site (go there, then copy the address from your browser.)
next go to the edit profile section on MySpace and put this code in where you want the link to appear:
<a href="[Link](Mouse over link to see full location) WEB ADDRESS HERE!>Tim</a>
