The girl i like is taken, but is going to get hurt

Question Posted Sunday October 1 2006, 1:51 pm

So there's this girl that i like. It just started out as a casual thing after i met her at a festival. We were seeing each other quite regularly and I thought our relationship was starting to develop. I started to talk to her about things getting more serious and she said there was "another guy". I was really cut up over it but she said that he was goin away to university and that she was going to just get over him and that i would just have to give her some time. I did, and things started going well again, then when I was going to see about furthering our relationship she said she was going out with this other guy. She led me on and i was upset, but i still like her, and now im worried that with him being at university he's going to cheat on her and hurt her but she won't listen to me because she just thinks that i'll be doing it to be petty. I still have feelings for her and I want her to be happy whether thats with me or without, but anyone know how i could talk to her about this?

Umm...buddy, i hate to tell you this, but you have a Class I Commitment/ Intimacy Dodger. My advice...find a new girl! One who won't lie every time you try to further a relationship!

hello. Tell her you are a guy, and you know how many of them function. if this guy is away at college, where there will be many new girls of all sorts, he wil probably be tempted. If you really really like her, tell her you'll be there for her through thick and then, you just wish she would listen to you right now, because you know how things could turn out with her current boyfriend, and you know how things could turn out between you and her.

Well , You should leave her alone for a little while. & then see how it goes. But if you don`t want to leave her alone & you want to talk to her you can say this to her -> Hey , I really care alot about you , I always have. I really like you alot & you probably don`t like me which I understand. But there are so many guys out there that are jerks , and I don`t want to see you get hurt. Why can`t you just give me a chance? I`ve liked you for so long , and I`ve tryed to get over you. But let me be totally honost with you... no matter what I do , I can`t get over you.< say something like that , and if she seems like she dosen`t really care about what you said. Then you know what , just forget about her. There`s so many other girls out there that would love to be your girlfriend , I know it`s hard to get over somebody & it takes forever , but eventually you will get over her. Good Luck & I Hope I helped ♥
