i've been best friends with this guy for 7 years now. we've liked each other on & off for the past 2 years, but never at the same time. but now, we finally like each other at the same time & it feels a little awkward. we both really want to take it to the next level, but aren't sure how to go about doing so.. we've kissed a few times & he's fingered me twice. we really want to have sex but he won't ask me to be his girlfriend for some reason, & i don't have sex with anyone i'm in not in a relationship with.
please help. i love him so much [as a friend, for now, at least], & i really would like to call him mine. i don't know what to do, help me. :[

explain to him that you aren't going to have sex with him until he's ready to make a commitment. sex is a big deal, and it can't be taken lightly. if you both want to have sex, explain to him that you won't do it until he's sure he wants to be with you. if you are willing to have sex with him, you need to be willing to date him. that simple.
