twice in a month

Question Posted Tuesday September 26 2006, 10:36 pm

Okay, i was on birth control and i stopped taking it. i took it and it changed me from getting my period at the end of the month to the beginning of the month and it was fine. I got it, and right when it ended i stopped taking the BC. Then i got my period again a week after I ended last.. so twice in one month.
Should i be worried?

No, when you go off birthcontrol it can screw up your estrogen levels and confuse your body. When I quit taking birthcontrol I had my period twice in one month. It was the same as my normal, monthly period and I was freaked out, but the doctor said that it was completely normal. If it happens the next month too, you still shouldn't be too worried. But if this "second" period occurs for a long period of time or is a lot heavier than normal, seek medical attention. =)
