well, to find out if he likes you, word of mouth can always work. you could talk to other people who talk to that person to see if they like you.
but dont worry, i used to be shy too. i was cured by my boyfriend.
you could get friends to hook you up if you're daring and trust them enough. no one knows you better than your friends and they should know your tast better than anyone.
