i think right now you really can't, because of the facebook layout changes. i got invited to a group but i couldn't find that invite anywhere on my profile or homepage. you can just go search for that group and join it.

The administrator sent it to you. Go to the groups page & look in the bottom right corner. That's the person who's responsible. [:
