The cliche of all cliches: I like my best friend's brother.
Hey there. My name is Mandie, I'm 14, and a freshman, and I've recently developed a SERIOUS crush on this guy who just so happens to be my best friend's brother. I really want to get to know him better, and to tell my best friend, but there are some complications. She's always had a great relationship with him, and hated all his girlfriends (or girls he likes) because she's always been "the first girl in his life." So to speak. I definitely wouldn't want to hurt her. But then there's also him. I'm not sure I should even try because he'll very probably just think of me as a "little sister" type. From what my best friend's told me, I think I'm his type, but for him to think of me as someone like his little sister and then have me ask him out would be really embarrassing. Esecially since I would have to see him alot.
Well, I guess that's about all. What should I do? This is really one of those sweet, respectful guys you only met a few times during life. And I reeeaaaally like him. Okay then. Reply soon.

I think you should talk to your friend first and ask her if she would be okay with it. Explain to her that you like him a lot and tell her why. Try talking to her when you are both alone and she is in a good mood. If shes not okay with it then you have to make a choice: you could either get to know him better...go out with him....lose your best friend, or you can forget about him...im sure you'll find someone else someday...so its either your best friend or a guy

i would talk to your friend. ask her opinion. first see if sees okay with it. after that, try and find out if he has a girl in mind. maybe your friend can talk to him.
