my mom's 36. she's been smoking since she was 19. i'm really worried about her. she went to the doctor & he told her she has the lungs of a 70 year old woman. she's always coughing & having asthma attacks. does ANYONE know of ANYTHING i can do to help her. she's tried & tried to quit but my dad smokes too which is hard. i need my mom to be around for me. HELP!!!

My mom's a smoker too. I've tried to get her to quit so many times. I've flushed them down the toilet, I've cut them up in front of her face, I've hid them, I've stolen her lighters. None of them were effective, unfortunately.
You should talk to both of your parents. Maybe they could help each other quit, and be healthy. There's really nothing you can do; it's your mom's choice. Just be as supportive as you can be about her quitting.
