no a blunt and a joint are not the same thing.
a blunt is when u roll weed (marijuana) in a cigar... a joint is when u roll the weed in rolling papers or cigarette paper. a joint is also smaller and doesnt last as long as a blunt so you can put more weed in a blunt. a joint will also give you more flavor (of the weed) because the paper is thinner.

different terms for joints:
~roaches
~rolls
~splig
~papers

different terms for blunts:
~cigars
~sticks
~rello (as in a cigarello)
~sweet
~swisha
~philly
(many of these names come from the name of the cigar so the list continues with other brands)

Hope this helps.. if you need to know anything else let me kno!
