Question Posted Thursday August 24 2006, 9:16 pm
Hey Adri,
I really like this girl. And my brother talks to her alot and he says that she said that she liked me too....But I have liked this girl for a LONG time and I would do anything for her but once my brother said that she liked me when she really didnt and then I found out that she didnt..I was heart broken..because I finally was about to ask her out..and then he says he was JOKING! So I dont know if I should trust him and believe that she really DOES like me. What do you think I should do?

Listen to yourself getting all stressed out about this. There's nothing to worry about! If things are meant to happen, they'll happen. You can't change fate in my opinion, so just relax yourself and the situation. Think of it this way: if your brother hadn't said anything, what would you have done? Since you don't know whether or not to trust him, just think of your relationship with this girl before your brother said anything to you. If it doesn't feel awkward, let her know how you feel, but be subtle. Maybe you can try going to the movies with a group of friends and sit next to her. See how she reacts. It's not rocket science, but it can be complicated.
As for your brother, let him know you want to talk to him. Your brother is supposed to be someone you can trust and talk to. Let him know how you feel and that you hope he'll be more serious about the matter. The truth is, it can be hard to deal if you're not the one laughing. Hopefully he'll be understanding and you can gain his trust once again.
