Lost desktop background? I lost my desktop wallpaper. It won't show up and I can't locate it anywhere on my computer. I didn't delete it.
However, it shows up when I log off/shut down for a few seconds.
Is there any way I can get it back? :(
And no, I didn't download it from any website. My boyfriend made it for me on my computer.

While at the desktop, click your right clicker on your mouse. A listing should pop up. Scroll down to properties and click. A box that is called Display Properties should pop up and click Desktop at the top. After, you should find a link Browse in the box to click and you'll be taken to a group of folders. Go find the picture your bf made you and click it twice. Close up everything, and the desktop should be their.
Hope it helps! ]
If you didn't delete it then I'm not quite sure lol. It may be a case where you've moved the file from one place to another and the computer cant work out where it is any more. its evident that the image is still on the computer somewhere, because as you said, it shows the image for a few seconds before shut down. Have you tried down a file search?
Start > Search > Search Files and Folders > *insert file name*
If you run a search using the name of the picture file and it comes up with nothing, then its been lost some how, and the image that shows up when you shut down is just a residual image left by the file before it got lost. ]
