The only real difference that I can really think of, is having to take things a little more serious for college. You should start looking into colleges you know you will love, join clubs and activities that will make you an active person in school, and worry about doing well.
But, it's also fun. Going to football games, meeting new people, going to the homecoming dances, and etc.
karie28 answered Wednesday August 16 2006, 7:13 am: Actually, there's not much to worry about. Really.
During my first day in high school, I thought I would get lost in the jungle of high school kids. I thought I wouldn't make any friends. I thought I wouldn't be able to deal with the lessons...Worst, I thought high school is all work and no play!
But of course I was wrong.
I learned that you shouldn't be nervous and shy at all especially in dealing with people and befriending others because for all you know, they are also dying to gain friends. For all you know, they are also nervous. For all you know, they also don't know what to do. So go ahead... make a lot of friends...
When it comes to schoolwork, of course there's more schoolwork in high school. If you don't want to be haggard, manage your time so you don't end up cramming... But if you like cramming because of the adrenaline rush you get(like me!), then fine... Just make sure it pays off...haha!
Terror teachers.... Oh dear, I don't have much to say about dealing with them.... I guess, just don't attract too much attention... Sit somewhere the teacher rarely notices.... I'm fine that way...haha!
If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask me....;)
shayequalslove answered Wednesday August 16 2006, 5:52 am: to be honest high school isn't much different than middle school. you're just in with older (more mature) kids. they're not going to take sh't from anyone. it's definitely important to leave the junior high drama behind. i'm sure the time spend in classes will be different as well. it's not hard to adapt to. most people actually enjoy longer classes. don't let teachers tell you that high school is a hundred times harder than middle school. it's totally not (at least where i'm from). all & all it's really not a huge change. you'll be fine.
