hymen and the actual vagina

i thought that the hymen was the wall of the vagina so it stretches? then what is the hymen and how does it break?

Um, no, it is not the wall of your vagina. It's right near the opening of it. Do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm not going to sit here and explain it to you because there are many, many health sites that can.
