stick shift

hi, im replying to you about a problem i have with a stick shirft car. its a 2002 hyundai accent. it has about 59,000 miles in it. right now my clutch doesnt work at all. i can have the car off, in 3rd gear and push it around. when i was driving it i could put it into any gear and not get above 25 mph. the engine will rev really loud and smell, but i cant go any faster.

sounds like your clutch is shot, as well as your clutch plates, you're gonna have to spend a good $500 to get it all replaced and redone. i dunno how much a clutch for an accent costs but i'm sure it isn't too expensive, hyundai parts never are. now a mechanic will charge you out the ass for repairs, so your best bet might actually be to buy the parts and learn to fix it yourself.
