I'm having trouble with one of my friends...

Question Posted Sunday August 13 2006, 10:13 pm

hi..I have this friend who i've known for quite a long time...we considered ourselves as best friends but she would always make me cry about something but I wouldn't tell her just incase I lost her as a friend...
Recently I started to live with my grandma and things we're all really tense cause I dont get along with her well. My friend did something to hit a nerve and I just let loose and said somethings to her that I probably didnt mean but at the time it felt right to say. I thought that shes made me hurt so many times before that it wouldnt matter what I said to her now...she said sorry a few weeks ago but I ignored her and now I feel like the bitch...like I was.
I don't know how to say i'm sorry, or if I should bother to say i'm sorry.
I know its difficult because you don't know us but..I was just wondering what I should do? Say sorry?
thank you x

Well really.. its about how you feel. It seems to me that you still want to be friends with her. So I think you should apologize. Just tell her you guys need to talk and tell her that she hurts your feelings and explain why it hurts you. Everyone slips up, says something they really dont mean. Some people just say mean things to make themselves feel better. If shes really your friend she will listen and take into consideration your feelings. Hope it works out.
