hmm well theres a problem...he doesnt know but i mean i always show him that and i always will no matter what happens between us

Then you know what I would be straight out forward with him and say, listen I know youve just gotten out of a bad relationship and I am here for you. And well I dont want our friendship to be different because well I really like you and I dont want to rush you into anything, and I will understand if you dont feel the same way. Or something like that [Its worked for me]
