Bellaitaliana311 answered Tuesday August 1 2006, 6:39 pm: Well you first need to get headshots. those cost around 400$ to get them done and printed. Once youve done that you need to find an agent. This is one of the most hardest parts in an acting career. it took me about 3 months to find one. Let me tell you agents and managers are very harsh. One told me that i was a wonderful actor its just i needed to loose a few pounds so she didnt accept me. i went home crying.... not a lovely sight. once youve found one and you have signed a contract, they will send you on auditions. NEVER give an agent money up front...if they ask for money its a scam leave the place as soon as they ask. You will only pay them once you book a job. and they only take 10% i believe, managers take 15% of what you make. Classes arnt nessasary but they are very helpful. Classes arnt cheap may i add, but theyre deffinetly worth it. If you have anymore questions just ask me. ive been acting for 3 years so i know a lot about the scams and stuff. hope i helped! xoxo [ Bellaitaliana311's advice column | Ask Bellaitaliana311 A Question ]
