I am f/13 and I know I'm young tons of ppl told me that but I want to have a long term relationship with one of my best friends who is 11- he's in 6th grade but his birthday is late in the year so it kinda ruins it but my mom thinks he's to young for me- but my BFF who is his sister say go for it and I've known her all my life she would never lie to me- nethier would he-and my stepdad thinks hes at a good age to but I want to know what you think- ty in advance

xEVYx answered Tuesday August 1 2006, 8:57 am: It shouldn't really matter what we think. If it's what you want and makes both of you happy I don't see why it's a bad idea. Age is just a number anyways and when you like someone who likes you it shouldn't matter, especially when it's only 2 years difference. You should stick with him now if that's what you want. You can always end things if you need to or you change your mind.

Other people around you might make a big deal about it and might not think it's right, but if you and him do and if you're willing to make it work, then that's all that should matter. Your mom is only trying to look out for you and she is giving you her opinion. There isn't a really big age difference anyways. So, whatever you feel is right, go for it.
