I so know where your coming from because I get in this situation too. I'd give him a shot, and if you do break up, tell him you still want to be friends and hang out and stuff still. Be like "i dont think its working out, and i really would like us to just be friends like before and i hope this wont ruin our friendship because your a really great person"
