I am 13/f going into the 8th grade. I wear a 34A. I weigh around 95 pounds, and im 5'3. I am very very skinny. Not anorexic skinny, but stil verrry skinny. I'm uncumfortable with it, so i was wondering if you had any tips on how to put some more meat on your bones. I don't want to get fat, just not be this skinny. Any ideas?

AskAndy answered Wednesday July 26 2006, 6:32 pm: wow. your underweight, and im not just saying that. your bmi is under 18.5. you have to gain minimum 10 pounds to be normal. okay since its summer vacation, for the next 2 weeks, don't exersize. eat 3 meals a day and eat between meals. if you have a meal with meat, half of it should be meat, or some kind of protein like peanuts. stay away from celery, cuz it has negative calories, so it burns more calories to eat it than are in the food, so you loose weight. salads with fat free dresssings are a bad idea. maybe your stomach is weak or small. the thing is, the more food you can put down the more your stomach will stretch and it will be easier to eat more, so you wont be underweight again. after your 10 pounds heavier, you can eat the food you wanna but eat more of it. basically eat more exersize less. fats and proteins are your friends [ AskAndy's advice column | Ask AskAndy A Question ]
