both mints and chocolate make me sneeze after i eat them! what is a big ingredient in both of them that i could be allergic to?

Unfortunately, no one is clear yet as to the reason. However, it does not seem to be due to the content of either. There is a huge range of things that cause people to sneeze, sunlight being one of them.
I would doubt that it is an allergy, as the symptoms would be a lot worse, swelling of the mouth and throat, a rash etc. If you can cope with the sneezing, go ahead and enjoy them.

If you were allergic to the candy, then there would be some sort of other reaction that would occur. As in:
stomach pain, hives, red skin...etc.
