4th of july kits

Question Posted Friday June 30 2006, 2:44 pm

On the 4th of july i'm going to sell little kits/bags of different kinds of items that would be fun for 4th of July. I'm going to sell them at this big feild where all activities are happening and the fireworks are going to be. What kind of stuff should I put in the bags, and how much should i charge. I already know about putting glowsticks in, but i need other ideas!

Ok, well for the prices I think you should make up a Small,Medium,& large bag. In a small bag put little pices of food such as canda bars or something & lolly pop & sell those for about 3-4$. Then in the medium bag Put also the candy but add something else too. Such as a some red,white,& blue keychains & small stuff like that see for about 7-8$. And in the big bags add something else like a little pack of box juice or something & maybe glitter red,white,& blue stickers. I don`t know if you would like my ideas but I hope I`ve been a help!

Happy July the 4th.

Someone does that in my area; they charge like 1-3 dollars. Put candy; a bag of chips or Pretzels or stuff along those lines and little party favors you will probably get alot of buyers. Have a safe & funn =] holiday . Remember to warn people tht the glowsticks are a chokeing hazard for young children <3 hope you do well!

OH AND ; TRY TO AVOID CHOCOLATE BECAUSE IT MAY MELT; STICK TO LOLLYPOPS AND HARD CANDYS.

The bags that you put all of the little items in, should have a patriotic theme on them.

You could have candies that have red, white and blue on them.. I found some candy ideas on a site:

- Blue & Red Lollipops, Jolly Ranchers.
- Three Musketeers. [they have blue, red, and white on their wrapper].
- Babe Ruth chocolate bars.
- Red, white and blue tootsie rolls.
- 100 Grand chocolate bars.

You can look at Walmart, or Price Chopper, or your local grocery store, they should have special kinds of chocolate. Like patriotic hershey kisses, ect.

ALSO, remember to buy candy in bulk !! Buy the miniature chocolates, not seperate candy bars.

You could also have..

- American Flags
- Patriotic Pinwheels [red white and blue]
- Red, White, and Blue colored balloons

You can take a look at this craft site and it can give you an idea about what crafts you can make for the fourth of July.

One of the activities uses a empty tissue tube. You can cover it in crepe paper, and glue on little streamers from the ends.

I think that you should charge 8 dollars a bag. It depends on how many things that you put inside of the bag.

Hope I helped!

How about some gum or candies. The small ones like you get at halloween. You need to add up all you've spent on the items and then divide it by the number of bags you've made. You may also want to factor in the time you spent preparing. and then add in a profit percentage.

Just for the sake of even numbers lets say -
$ 80 on bags/goodies
$ 20 2 hours of your time at $10/hr
= $100 + 20% profit.

= $120 divided by 10 bags = $12 per bag. And ultimately you've made about $20.

Hope this helps you get set up and successful!
