I asked a question previously about my ex-boyfriend still wanting me. Okay, so here's the deal now (in case you're interested lol): Since my last question he has told me that he was falling in love with me when we were together, and that is why he broke up with me. His last girlfriend broke his heart so he said he is afraid of falling in love and getting burned again. I know there is at least some truth to what he is saying, but is the rest of it B.S.? He still calls me and we hang out and occasionally kiss. He says he wants me to understand who he truly is. Does this mean I should continue trying to make it work with him? Or is it pointless to attempt? Please let me know what you would do. I really care about him.

I, Personally can't stand it when people say they are "afraid" to fall in love again. It is perfectly natural to be somewhat nervous, but, if someone generally likes you, they usually don't just pull away. Of course, you have said, you two still talk & hang out. So, apparently, there is something there. I honestly nee a little more info. Mainly because, I don't know how he is acting with & without you. He is either just keeping you around just in case he doesn't get someone else, or he is actually waiting to see where things go & how well your relationship progresses. You have asked me what to do? If I were you, I wouldn't totally give up on him at all. He seems pretty genuine & at least he was upfront with you about how he feels & isn't leading you on. That's a plus right there. I also wouldn't talk about anything relationship wise just yet. Give him some space, "flirt" with him while your together & wait for him to make a move. If he really does like you, he will come around & end up liking you even more after he sees how mature you are & how much you like him. If there is anything else you can give me, let me know. Hope I helped at least a little & good luck to both of you. [ LouellaWalters26's advice column | Ask LouellaWalters26 A Question ]
