Dove Energy Glow.

Question Posted Thursday June 15 2006, 2:57 pm

I'm using that Dove Energy Glow lotion with the subtle self tanners and I'm afraid to shave or get in a pool because when I used to use the regular self-tanners, they would always wash off when I shaved my legs or got in a pool.

Does anyone know if the Dove Energy Glow behaves in the same way or does it stay tan no matter what if you keep using it?

Thanks!

Shave your legs and take a shower before you put on the self tanner, or you can put it on at night so you won't have to worry about it washing off in the pool. I use Jergens Healthy Glow, and I just put it on at night.

Dove energy will probably react the same way as other self tanners, although I think it should last for a swim

You can prevent this though. Exfoliate in the shower before you apply your self tanner. It preps your skin for the moisturizer, and sloughs of dead skin. Some self tanners also offer an exfoliate, but they tend to be more expensive. You can go for a regular body wash that states it exfoliates, how you can tell is if it has little beady sandy things (technical term of course), or even St Ives Apricot scrub. As an added bonus, it also makes shaving your legs easier, because again it gets rid of dead skin.
