Ok so im a typical average girl who is confused about this whole god/jesus thing. My mother and father both went to catholic school till high school and were babtized catholic. But my parents didnt babtize me and my brother. They wanted us to choose a religion and believe what ever we want, IF WE WANTED TO BELIEVE ANYTHING. Our family never goes to church, one because its too early. 2 because my dad isnt religous at all he wont even say bless you when someone sneezes. 3 my mom doesnt believe u ahve to go to church to talk to god. My mom really isnt religous at all maybe like 10% if any. Im not sure aobut my sister though. Anyway i went to a preschool that went to church every mon. And right now i do belivev in god. I pray sometimes. The thing is its hard trying to believe in god when no one in my family does. I dont even think we have a bible in our house. idk wt to think. How do i feel more comfortable, or what do i do. anything? im trying to be me.

KELLY_ELIZABETH answered Friday June 16 2006, 3:12 pm: your mom is right, you dont have to go to church to believe or talk in/to god. but heres the problem, you prolly feel like you have to maybe follow your parents footsteps. which isnt the case at all. you dont have to believe what your parents believe in. people tend to only pray when they need god or think something wrong might happen. but not thank him everyday for the good things he brings. if you really believe and want to believe, then start by praying everyday. good day, bad day, boring day, exciting day - whatever! do what you believe in, if you want to go to church then go to church, just follow your heart.
