Question Posted Thursday June 8 2006, 7:08 pm

i straighten my hair every day, so it's pretty dry at the ends especially near the front.i use panteve pro v daily moisture renual conditioner and shampoo but it doesnt help. once my hair dries, its gets frizzy and poofy. i want to get leave in conditioner, but near my scalp gets greasy pretty easily(like if i skip washing my hair for a day or 2) so would leave in conditioner help my hair and not make it greasy?

I wouldn't straighten it everyday. That's what's causing most of your problems. But if you must do it, then use sleek look, smoothing system, iron smoother by matrix. You spritz it on your hair before using and it protects it so it doesn't friz out or ruin your hair. It protects heat damamge up to 450 degrees. You can probably get it at a hair salon. Hope this helps!

I have the same problem. First, you shouldn't use Pantene Pro V. My hair stylest said it breaks off your hair. But yeah, if your hair gets greasy near your scalp, then don't put conditioner near it. Cause thats the main problem. Also, if you put conditioner only on the ends, it will help it not be so frizzy and not get dry as fast. Hope I helped! <3

The only way you will be able to prevent your hair from getting greasy so quickly is to wash it less. I know that greasy hair feels disgusting but the fact is that washing and straightening it every day means your body produces more of the oil onto your scalp to maintain the moisture levels.

If you really want to prevent your hair from suffering bad damage, you need to try to straighten your hair less. Believe me, I know that's not as easy as it sounds because my hair is VERY frizzy and unmanageable. I used to straighten it twice a week at least and after 2 and a half years, it was so bad that I had the worst split ends. Now I haven't used straighteners since November and my hair is smoother, shinier, less frizzy and much better condition.

Grin and bear the grease and try to get to washing your hair twice a week. You'll find your hair gets less greasy and less quickly and you might just find the condition of your hair improves immensley.

theres a 3 step program called Bed Head. you put in the bed head shampoo, then the bed head conditioner (of course between each one you rinse) but then youre done with the shower, you use the 3rd step..i forgot what it wa called...but yaa. its really easy and it works

A lot of hair dressers would tell you that you should only put conditioner in your hair from your ears down since you have greasy hair. You should put in the leave in conditioner in your hair from your ears down.
