why is sex so big of a thing to people like 16 days from my 16th b-day i lost my virginity and so the people that ive talked to before i had sex said that it was a big thing and once i did it wasnt much to me so really why do people make such a big deal about sex?

Hi, I dont really know why its such a big deal to be honest. People get it off the TV and talk about it with friends. Maybe it could be because of a number of reasons:
a) They want to see each other naked
b) They can experience sexual pleasure
c) Because they feel as though everyone else is doing it and they need to do it.
People make a deal out of it because its apart of our life (sex-drive)

Being male does make a difference, because in general, girls seem to think of it as a much bigger deal than guys. For girls it is a significant physical communication of love between two people and the breaking of the hymen could almost be heralded as a symbol of transgression into womanhood.
For a lot of guys (at least all of the ones bar one that I have ever known), it begins as a physical desire, more than an emotional one (I believe this comes from the Primeval need for men to 'spread their seed' in order to ensure the survival of the human race) and then when they meet someone and fall in love, it can also become a physical way to communicate feelings for each other.
The fact is that sex is very much an emotional thing and men tend not to be as emotional as women so it might not always be such a big deal. However, trust me when I say that when you meet the right girl, it will become a big deal to you as well.

its a fact that girls seem to make a bigger deal about it than guys do because its something they cant get back. most people make a big deal about it because bad(or good in some cases) can come out of it, its called a kid. the thought of being a young parent scars a lot of people out of having sx at a young age.

The real reason is because most teens like u and i are inmature but u and i understand what it really is not what we see in the movies but these younger and most older people think it makes you more of a woman or man this is the real reason this is a big deal to most teens like us. Hope I helped
