If a tear is big enough to be noticeable, you may want to get a doctor's advice.

Any tears outside of the vaginal canal are probably not related to having sex, unless fingernails were involved - or anything else that might have snagged your skin.

If you are in a great deal of pain, see a doctor soon. If not, you may want to see a doctor anyway - but chances are he/she will tell you to keep the area washed and clean, to avoid any activity that hurts the tear, and to be gentle with sex until it has fully healed.

Please keep in mind that a tear on/in your genitals largely ups your chances of getting a sexually transmitted infection if your partner is infected.
