If the boyfriend/girlfriend is a bad influence, or dragging too much of your time, then they should.
And I can speak on that because I have a friend who spends almost ALL his time with his girlfriend, and we only get lunch with him.
And we've told him time and again to split his time, but he just won't, even when his girlfriend is rude, moderatly conceited, and just not nice to look at.
In some cases, it becomes necessary to ask for either the boyfriend/girlfriend or your friends.
