I'm 13 and i got my period about a year and a half ago and i've always used pads. i just recently tried tampons because i have dance preformances and cant wear pads because they will slide off my costumes. so for my first time, i tried my moms "playtex gentle glide" tampons and they're " super absorbancy tampons" is it okay that i used these? or do u have any beter recomendations?? thanks. i rate 5's

However, if you tend to have a heavy flow, then super absorbancy is probably fine. You might consider using a lower absorbancy when you are on a lighter flow. If they feel okay when they're in then you can certainly continue to use them. Just remember to change them about every 4-8 hours (or whatever the reccomended time is for your brand) and you should be fine. As for other reccomendations, I use tampax compak or Tampax Pearl Plastic. I like them and they work well for me, but thats me. Hope I helped.
