Sorry this is long but I WILL RATE!!!
i'm 14/f and theres this guy at school that i really really really like and I can't go a minute without thinking about him, and when i'm around him i just can't help but stare. Some of my friends talk to him and say I you like *my name* and a few days ago he IMed me said I don't like like you I don't even know you...which is true cause we only talk in the hall for a minute or two or online for about an hour a few times a week. But just little things he does makes me thinks he likes me and then other little things makes me think he doesn't....but the other day i got home from school, and in the mail was a newsletter and i read it and his name was it, then i was reading a magazine and there an article on how to make to mak the 1st move, and i swear everyone word i looked at said love, like, wish, want, and I just can't STOP thinking about him but I don't know if he likes me or what and i just hate it and i don't know what to do at all.. should i try to become better friends with him?? Should i ask him to the dacnce (May 19th) sould I ignore the whole thing...and when he does the little things that make me think he doesn't like me hurts me..really bad...and I swear i want him but i dunno if he wants me...and he's jokes alot and is always joking that me and my friend are staling him is that saying get away from me or just hahah just someone PLEASE HELP ME...if you need to know more please ask me..

This definitely does not work every time. If he does actually like you, the only impression he'll get from that, is that you are trying to avoid him. You could call it "playing hard to get" when it's most often just discouraging.

i think you should back off for a little...don't call him or IM him and when you see him in the halls just say hi...don't stop to talk...pretend you're in a rush or busy. if he really likes you and is interested in you then he'll start missing you and make the effort to talk to you. it works everytime.

as for the chat room....i say don't go in it as much...or if you do, don't stay long...that way you'll appear busy and "mysterious". and as we all know...guys loooovvvee "mysterious"...haha.

im kinda going through that right now. i think you should become good friends with him then ask him to the dance (if you dont think he likes likes you then ask him to go as a friend). that way, theres a better chance of him liking you in the way you want.. sorry i couldnt give better advice but good luck!

hey wow who hasnt gone through something like that? i know it stinks but he is not intrested in you like that, and when he acts like it its probly cuz he wants every girl to like him. mabi you should get to know him more or dress nicer work extra hard on make up you know the girl stuf and try to play hard to get.. normally works
