Large age differences when one of the people is still a teenager are difficult because of the younger individual's, lack of maturity, lack of life experiences, and possible committment issues. Then there's the whole thing with statutory rape. I don't know where you live so I don't know if that is a problem, but since the person is 17 it could be. The last thing I want to say is, why is this relationship happening or about to happen? Is it because you really love each other and want to be in it or is it because you are having a hard time finding other gays and are desperate in a way? Don't just date someone because of opportunity. It's got nothing to do with age, but age is often linked to a lot of other things. I wish you the best of luck and I hope that everything works out the way you want it to. [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]

xomissnoeitallox answered Tuesday April 11 2006, 4:31 pm: i think that its the same for gay ppl as it is straight ppl. because there is really no difference at all. so my opinion is that you two are perfectly fine, but i might hold off until he was 18. but other than that your good to go!
