Prom Is Soon!

Question Posted Monday April 3 2006, 6:23 pm

My prom is coming up really soon. Everyone is so excited about it, but I'm just not at all. I've had guys already ask me but I have no interest in going with any of them. I've told them all the same excuse that, "I'll be on vacation probably". One guy who I would love to go with, might ask me now. What am I supposed to say and do when the others find out I lied? They're all great guy friends who would be hurt and embarassed by my terrible lie.

I'd say don't go with lying in the future, but what's done is done for now. Say that the vacation was cancelled because there was an illness in the family, or that your family decided that you shouldn't miss school so they planned the vacation later.

Face the truth, because lieing is never right. You should own up before they find out.
