Question Posted Saturday April 1 2006, 11:51 pm

i have a teal green metallic stratocaster with a white pickguard. here is the fender color chart so you can see what color the guitar is:

mine is number 45.
i'm looking to change the pickguard, and i'm leaning toward a white pearloid pickguard. do you think that this will look stupid? do you have any suggestions on a different pickguard?

It wouldn't look *bad* but I think its bordering on the edge of tacky. If I were you, I'd go with a metallic grey toned pickguard. Thats just a personal preference, I always thought tealish colors with the pearloid picguards looked terrible, the only place that belongs is the fret inlays.

Well, like with that pickguard it wouldn't look totally unfortunate looking but it would look way better if you got a white-silver pickguard. Kind of shiny looking but you could also get a teal-green one to match your guitar. But like it's up to you. I suggest that you go and look up the different color pickguards on the internet and see which one matches better. Well, I hope I helped you out! =]
