Once it's been sent to you, it's your responsibility to cover the cost of the new W2, but I it's only about $10. When my husband's W-2 was sent to the wrong address (he'd moved since working for that employer) we went to www.getmyw2.com and paid $10 to have it sent via e-mail, though they'll also send it through snail mail. Call your employer first, since they may have a service that allows you to get a new W2 for free.
