Hmm, well, usually my sisters friend tells me about really unknown rock bands. Or, I just listen to the radio, see what sounds good. Also, if I'm on the computer or something, I put up yahoo and turn on the yahoo radio to alternative rock, if i hear a song I like without knowing who it is, i'll write down there name, and try to find some more songs by them. I watch TRL, its usually on from like 3 to 4:30 I think, they usually have some top 20 stuff. Hmm, you could buy a music magazine from a store and see what music is in there.Hope I helped, if you want to know of some pretty good bands let me know, and I'll be happy to give you a list.
