Itunes+Ipod

Question Posted Saturday March 4 2006, 6:58 am

Ok. So I have this ipod, fairly new. I have never had trouble with itunes. Heres the problem. I downloaded (purchased) many many songs. 100 dollars worth. They are all on my ipod now (along with some other CDS I have)
My computer crashed, so I re-installed windows, where everything was gone. So today, I hook up my ipod, and I go and buy a few songs, and it wont put them on, without erasing EVERY current song. Is there away just to put new songs in the libray? (take the old songs off my ipod and put them in the library?)

Please help me!! I rate 5's!

I don't think you can..well there's no official way. You may be able to download a program or something to hack into it.

I searched the Help section of my iTunes

"Be sure to make regular backups of your music files (in your iTunes folder in the My Music folder) by copying them to an external hard disk or other media. If your hard disk becomes damaged or you lose any of the music you've purchased, you'll have to reimport all your songs and buy any purchased music and other items again to rebuild your library. You can also make an audio CD of the songs you purchase so you can listen to them in a consumer CD player."

and then there's

"Note: You cannot transfer songs or playlists from iPod to iTunes. "

Before giving up you should email apple support to see if there's anything they're willing to do.
