i started my period and i need to get tampons so how do i get some if i don't want my mom to know about it?

You should probably tell your mom. She'll either be more than happy to buy you some, or she'll at least be willing. If you just started your period and you're young, I'd consider maybe not moving on to tampons yet. Have you used anything else?
If you still feel uncomfortable asking your mom, then maybe you could ask your school nurse. If you are still not able, you might have to buy your own, or have a friend buy some for you. Or for the time being ask a friend to use some of theirs and that you'll pay them back later maybe. I think however, that your best bet would be to talk to your mom.
