Long distance valentines present

Question Posted Sunday February 5 2006, 11:10 am

I left my boyfriend behind when I left for university but we're still together and I want to send him something nice for valentine's day. We've been together for nearly two years although we've been friends for longer than that.

As I already mentioned I'm a student so my present budget is minimal and whatever it is needs to be posted. I'm going to make a card but I want to send something else.

My boyfriend is 18 years old, he's in a band (he's the screamer in a metalcore band), he's quite camp, he likes films (we met working together at a cinema), he likes clothes (slightly flamboyant although also indie/punk/emo style).

Any ideas? I don't want to give him something 'too' cutesy and definitely nothing cliched.

I'm not sure if this is cliche, but if you have a camera, perhaps you could send him a video of you doing whatever it is that you do around campus. Try to be creative and make a movie out of it or something.

Ok, that might be a little corny, but I'm sure he would appreciate it. If you can't give him your presence on Valentine's day, then at least you can give him a video of you on Valentine's day.

You could get him a pink belt, or a DVD, or CD, what I think would be sweet is if you get an evelope, put some rosepetals in it and spray it with a cool fragrance and have some HMV vouchers or something. Then you know he'll like the gift and its kinda romantic aswell so its not too boring. Why dont you go visit him for valentines day? Im sure that you are the best present he could recieve. You could get him a jokey present on the side, like some cough sweets... (screaming hurts my voice personally). You could go on the net and get some Vans or conversers cheap and get them delivered to his house instead of yours. Hope I help. Best of luck xxxx

Umm.. Thinking, Lets see. Well if he likes music. You could get him a giftcard to a music store. Or you could get him a gift card to anywhere you would think he likes. You dont want anyhing too cutesy. hmm Well i was thinking a teddy bear with the gift card. Which isnt too cutesy in my opinion! Theres chocolates with the card. You could get him a bunch of movies in like a box and some candy like the kind they sell at the theater. lol sorry I thought that was a good idea.

♥ Sorry if i didnt name anything that cought your interest!
