Boyfriend's dad only has 6 months...

Question Posted Friday January 20 2006, 5:51 pm

My boyfriend and I have been dating for about 2 years now. His father was diagnosed with cancer back in May and when the finally did catch it, it was too advanced.

Today they officially gave him 6 months to live.

My boyfriend was all out crying when he told me. I've known him since we were 12 (we're both 18 now) and I've never seen him cry.

His brother committed suicide in October and even then I saw no tears.

I don't know what to do here. I don't know what to say and I don't know how to act. You'd think that after I've known him and his family so long that I would. But I don't.
